Marijuana make most people more relaxed. It relieves the clutter and stress after a hard day's work or school. It mellows you out and makes you more relaxed. It enhances the imagination and enhances creativity. If you have a problem with anger, Pot is usually a good substance to reduce it.
Marijuana has other medical benefits. It helps to reduce problems with glaucoma. If you have cancer, it reduces the nausea of chemotherapy. I had a close friend who died of cancer. His doctor prescribed pot while it was not't legal. I gave him something, and it allowed him to eat food again. This was three weeks before he died. I think Pot gave him a second week of life.
Marijuana is also safer, more effective and have fewer side effects than many prescription antidepressants. Shortly after my divorce when I learned that I had a conviction for more than 100% of everything I owned, my doctor put me on Pamalor, a common antidepressant. Pamalor turned me into a zombie and made me almost impotent. I've just existed, and felt nothing, had no motivation, could not't do anything, and was virtually unusable. After two weeks after I got it. Getting stoned and laid a few times a week had a much better result. I was aware, motivated, efficient, sharp, got better sleep, happy and alive. Not all antidepressants have the same effect. But these substances are overperscribed and in many cases, I believe that an occasional joint is a better alternative to antidepressants.
Marijuana is especially good for those with high stress lifestyles. The brain has a tendency to lock on to a problem and your mind is in a mental loop where you can't stop thinking about work or other problems. Pot may help you to break the vicious circle and see the problem from a different angle, or let your brain to move and rest allows you to enjoy life, so you can recover and get a new perspective for the next day.
